The World Press Photo Exhibition 2026 will open on September 3 in Kyiv.
The exhibition showcasing the results of the annual World Press Photo contest will begin at 6:00 PM at the Dovzhenko Centre. The exposition will feature winning works: photojournalism and documentary photography from various regions of the world.
This year, 57,376 works were submitted by 3,747 photographers from 141 countries. Winners were selected across six regions in three categories: Singles, Stories, and Long-Term Projects. Themes include the abuse of power, the climate crisis, conflicts, resilience, and rebuilding. A significant highlight is the victory of Ukrainian photographer Yevhen Maloletka in the European region with his frame "Russian Attack on Kyiv."
