Add to calendarOn April 4, the Open-Air Museum invites all friends, volunteers, and Kyiv guests to join our Great Spring Toloka!
Spring is a time of renewal. Nature is waking up, filling with light and warmth. Together, we are preparing our beloved museum — a sanctuary of history, traditions, and living memory — for the new season.
Toloka is an ancient Ukrainian tradition of community labor. Whether building a house or harvesting crops, people always gathered to work together because it’s faster, easier, and more fun. Today, we carry on this tradition by caring for the place that preserves Ukrainian heritage.
Our plans for the day:
Post-winter grounds cleanup;
Landscaping of green areas;
Preparing locations for upcoming spring events;
Creating a clean and welcoming space.
This is more than just work; it’s about the atmosphere. It’s morning coffee among historic thatched cottages, heartfelt conversations under the open sky, and the pride of contributing to a meaningful cause.
Important! Please bring your own work gloves, trash bags, and any gardening tools if possible. Comfortable clothes and a positive attitude are a must!
