Annual race - I honor the soldiers, I run for the Heroes of Ukraine

All-Ukrainian and International Run "I HONOR THE WARRIORS, I RUN FOR THE HEROES OF UKRAINE": An Annual Tradition of Remembrance

In 2018, a group of dedicated like-minded people from the veteran and volunteer movements launched the run "I HONOR THE WARRIORS, I RUN FOR THE HEROES OF UKRAINE." This race, which now takes place annually in August, on the eve of the Day of Remembrance for the Defenders of Ukraine (August 29), has established a tradition of honoring the memory of fallen soldiers.

Over the years, the geography of the run has expanded significantly: from various regions of Ukraine to nearly 40 countries around the world. The number of participants has reached 72,000, covering distances of 2 km, 5 km, or 10 km, while running with race bibs bearing the names of fallen Heroes. The start takes place simultaneously in almost all communities of Ukraine and abroad.

Each year, the Run provides an opportunity to run for free in honor of those who died defending Ukraine. It is a gesture of gratitude and support to the families of our Heroes, as well as a platform for uniting veterans, active military personnel, employees of Ukraine's security and defense sector, volunteers, youth, and conscious citizens. All of them rally around the values of Ukrainian statehood and independence, honoring the memory of Ukrainian Heroes.
