Workshop on Petrikivka painting

Nowadays ethnic motifs are gaining unparalleled popularity both in household goods décor and in design of clothes and interior. Thus weare glad to invite you for our Petrykivka painting masterclasss othat you master this traditional and unique painting technique that was once originated in the Ukrainian village of Petrykivka.

Traditionally this ornament was used to adorn the walls of village houses or stoves. Currently it is applied in interior of modern flats, as well as cafes and restaurants.

During the masterclass the artists will teach you to perform the main composition elements of Petrykivka painting. Besides,they will tell about traditional Ukrainian ornament and its meaning.

At the workshop each participant will create an original decoration for his/her home – a painted wooden plaque.
