The last weekend of June in Kyiv is the perfect mix of culture, nostalgia, evening concerts, and unexpected discoveries. The programme includes festivals celebrating Kyiv of the 1960s, the 90s era and craft beer, exhibitions of Ukrainian painting, a second‑hand flea market by weight, the “Ї” capital‑letter market, concerts by Parfeniuk, YAKTAK, and open‑air soundtracks from favorite films.

Choose the events that speak to your soul and go catch a bit more of summer in June.

“Cult of Kyiv” Festival

The “Cult of Kyiv” festival is an opportunity to see Kyiv of the Sixties in all its complexity.

The programme includes theatrical performances “KholoDNA Myata” (“Cold Mint”), “Stus. Perehozhiy” (“Stus. The Passerby”), and “Nevtyshymi” (“The Uncontainable”), a screening of documentary film about Alla Horska, and the Takflix film “Kyiv Frescoes.” For those who love the city in its details— thematic guided tours with Hanna Pylypenko and curator Liza Herman, a visit to the office of Viacheslav Chornovil, and a musical route around Kyiv with Oleksii Bondarenko from “Lirum.”

Additionally, in collaboration with The Naked Room and the artist’s family, the organisers present the exhibition “Lenin Street” by Anatolii Sumar, and at Vinyla space there will be a vinyl party featuring Ukrainian pop. Also planned are a collage workshop with artist Olena Zaretska, a poetic walk with Anastasiia Yevdokymova, lectures by Viacheslav Levytskyi and Ivan Mishchuk, a charity fair, an auction with Vitalii Hordiienko, and a terrace concert by the band “MOVA.”
